CREATS Areas of Practice

CREATS organization choose to cover two distinct areas and that is bringing new improved seeds of higher quality, new technologies / innovations closer to the smallholder farmers and going organic in all their capacity building activities to the farmers in Kasipul sub- county as their project area.

AREA OF FOCUS

KAIPS – Kasipul Agricultural and Input Program for Sustainability. [Seeds of Life]

This project targets Cereals, Fodder and or Horticultural farmers who in the past have suffered low yield productivity, poor germination and general plant nutrition. Here the organization empowers the community farmers to access the inputs at a subsidized price easily affordable and readily available to most of the smallholder farmers at the onset of every season.

POA – POULTRY AND ORGANIC AGRICULTURE [Back to Eden]

Given the world market demand, health and affordability all farming activities has to go organic. Healthy food is a concern to everyone and a mandatory to all regulatory authorities in every country. Nutrition is important and everybody is now keen on what they eat as food.  For that reason CREATS does capacity building that involves the use of animal wastes back to the farm to improve the plant nutrition and soil structure as we care for the Earth. Together with poultry production and the values of attachment it has to the smallholder farmers being easier to start within a limited space and limited resources , CREATS ventured into the two combined project as one to help the beneficiaries achieve on  improved Nutrition and Income.
